The American in Paris, Episode 1: Jason McDonald and Stringcan Interactive

For the inaugural episode of The American in Paris Stephen interviewed Jason McDonald of Stringcan Interactive. Jason, like Stephen, left the United States for a permanent move to France and Paris two years ago. Unlike Stephen, Jason has a French wife and is also experiencing the relocation through her perspectives.

Jason shares his perspectives on life in France and shares his optimism about the future of startups in the country that first invented the word entrepreneur, but then subsequently seemed to forget it as a concept.  Stephen shares Jason optimism for growing new companies in France.

For more on Jason and his work you can visit his website or follow him or his company on Twitter.  You’ll note that we speak about “this last summer” in the interview because it was recorded in October 2014.

The American in Paris is an outgrowth of the blog by the same name and is a monthly podcast devoted to shedding light, from the American perspective, on Parisian life. It is brought to you by Paris Foot Walks, the most personal and passionate walking tours in the City of Light.
